About the Vallely Elephant Artwork:

Discovered at a Virginia Beach contest by Neil Blender and Lance, a young Mike Vallely was asked to join the Powell-Peralta team and quickly rose to fame as a premier street skater. After initially rejecting the Roach graphic, Vallely worked closely with VCJ on an elephant theme. Mike and his elephant deck were both very popular. Mike currently runs Street Plant, a 100% independently owned and operated family business.

"100% Independent Skateboarding for Love, for Fun. No rules, no divisions, no schools. Just a Skateboard as a Paintbrush and the World as an Empty Canvas. Skate. Create. Enjoy!"

About the deck:

NEW Powell Peralta popsicles are made in the Skate One China factory using Skate One AirLam® presses, and the same maple and glue to match strict engineering specifications. These new decks have assorted color stained top veneers along with a red center ply. They’re light, thin, have excellent torsional rigidity, and crisp pop.

Great for beginners to pro level skating at an awesome price.  Works well in the streets, skateparks, pools, freestyle, bombing hills or just pushing to the store.

Premium quality, 7 ply hard-rock maple, made right.
